رحب الأزهر الشريف باتفاق وقف إطلاق النار بين الجمهوريَّة الإسلامية الإيرانيَّة والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ونسأل الله تعالى أن تكون هذه الخطوة بدايةً حقيقيةً لاستقرارٍ دائم، ونهايةً حاسمةً للحروب والصراعات التي أنهكت شعوب المنطقة والعالم، وأضرَّت بالاقتصاد العالمي، وأثقلت كاهله بالفقر والخوف والتوتر.
ويُذكِّر الأزهر الشريف بما هو معلومٌ من أن الحروب تصيب الجميع، ولا تُخلِّف وراءها إلا مزيدًا من الدماء والخراب والفوضى، وأنَّ الحوار والتفاهم واحترام سيادة الدول؛ كل ذلك هو الطريق الأوحد لتسوية النزاعات وتحقيق الأمن والسلام، وهو السبيل الأمثل إلى الاستقرار والتنمية والازدهار.
Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif welcomes the ceasefire agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, praying to Almighty Allah that this step will mark the beginning of genuine and lasting stability, and bring an end to the wars and conflicts that have exhausted the peoples of the region and the world, harmed the global economy, and deepened the burdens of poverty, fear, and tension.
Al-Azhar reiterates the well-established truth that wars affect everyone and leave behind nothing but further bloodshed, destruction, and chaos. Dialogue, mutual understanding, and respect for the sovereignty of nations remain the only path toward resolving disputes and achieving security and peace. They are also the surest means to foster stability, development, and prosperity.
